The transnational project call Disrupting drug resistance using innovative design is now open. The call aims to improve the treatment and/or prevention of bacterial and fungal infections. It involves 27 funding organisations from 18 countries and the total estimated call budget is about 19 million Euro.

The outputs, outcomes and the impact generated by the projects supported under the 2016 JPIAMR joint co-funded call “AMR Transmission Dynamics have now been published in a report. The report highlights the effect of supporting excellent science through transnational research collaborations.

We are pleased to welcome Chile as a new member of JPIAMR. Chile’s participation in JPIAMR is part of the country’s determination to become an active contributor to the world’s efforts to tackle the global challenge of AMR.

It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge that JPIAMR officially celebrates ten years as an international collaborative platform. From its inception in December 2011 until today, JPIAMR has achieved and exceeded its mission to coordinate national funding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research, guided by a shared strategic research and innovation agenda.

We are pleased to pre-announce the transnational call “Disrupting drug resistance using innovative design”.
The call opens in January 2022 and aims to improve the treatment and/or prevention of bacterial and fungal infections. It involves 26 funding organisations from 17 countries and has a total estimated call budget of 17 million Euro.

JPIAMR is launching the call Diagnostics and Surveillance Networks in April 2022 with the aim to assemble networks of leading experts and stakeholders with an intent to facilitate the development, optimisation and use of diagnostic and surveillance tools, technologies and systems.

Nineteen projects involving 114 partners from 35 different countries have been recommended for funding within the JPIAMR 13th transnational call: “One Health interventions to prevent or reduce the development and transmission of antimicrobial resistance”. The total funding amount is 25,6 M€.

JPIAMR is pleased to welcome the nine new Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) members that have been appointed by the JPIAMR Management Board for the period 2022-2024.

The kick-off meeting of the18 projects funded through the joint transnational call AquaticPollutants, in collaboration with the three Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs) on Water, Oceans and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), was held on September 30. With 190 participants, the kick-off was a success!

The JPIAMR Secretariat is looking for a senior research officer with a background in medicine and health. With us, you get to work with committed colleagues in an international context to strengthen research and research collaboration on antimicrobial resistance.
